Contracted by the CDRH division of the FDA, I have developed several containerized solutions within the AWS gov cloud for extracting key insights from unstructured and semi-structured medical device text data and running automated analytics on that extracted information all while ensuring production-grade computational efficiency. These solutions have required combinations of various techniques such as creating complex web-scraping pipelines, building and leveraging custom deep-learning models, leveraging other NLP techniques for text mining like NER, incorporating similarity scoring via fuzzy matching and cosine similarity matching, as well as the integration of modern AI to develop LLM powered applications. These solutions will facilitate improved data accessibility and analytics capabilities to streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency, and ultimately drastically reduce latency for critical medical device regulatory decisions in the US.

Collaborated with multiple teams from various Universities and National Labs to design/analyze the cutting-edge neutron physics experiments of Nab at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and BL2 and BL3 at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). These experiements aim to more deeply probe the fundamental nature of the weak nuclear force via high precision measurement of neutron decay parameters. Summary of contributions include: - Visualized and analyzed cryo-cooling data from proton detectors, facilitating data-driven decisions for design enhancements. - Implemented data visualization techniques to monitor live neutron beam characteristics. - Created a labeled pseudo-dataset using known data characteristics to train machine learning classification models for noise filtering. - Leveraged 3D physics modeling software to analyze the effects of component dimensions on electromagnetic proton trap dimensions. - Presented research findings at the regional SESAPS meeting (South Eastern Section of the American Physical Society) and the national APS DNP meeting (American Physical Society Division of Nuclear Physics)

Contributed to the development and data analysis of various experiments in Nuclear Structure, Dark Matter, and Astro-Particle/Neutrino Physics at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Triangle Universities Nuclear Lab (TUNL), and with the PIRE-GEMADARC collaboration (hosted in China that year). Summary of contributions to various projects/collaborations include: - senior project: personally designed, built, and analyzed the data of custom experiment to measure gamma ray production from muon induced neutron scattering interactions in lead which is commonly used for background radiation shielding - analyzed nuclear dataset from TUNL to calculate the neutron scattering cross section on Ge-76 at 4.5 MeV energies for applications to Dark Matter and Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay experiments - gathered and analyzed gamma ray spectra of various soil samples from underground sources with PIRE-GEMADARC in China in order to calculate the concentration of the naturally occurring radio-isotopes Uranium-238, Thorium-232, and Potassium-40 at those sites - contributed to the development of next generation high resolution neutron detector at ORNL and made various data driven decisions to ultimately reduce timing resolution from 2.5 nanoseconds to within the order of hundreds of picoseconds - presented research at respective collaboration meetings as well as a national APS DNP meeting (American Physical Society Division of Nuclear Physics) and the international joint meeting of the APS DNP and JPS (Japonese Physical Society)
