At nVoq, my role encompasses development and maintenance of a medical domain ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) engine. This includes optimizing language models and acoustic models to achieve the highest accuracy possible. In addition, I do research and development work with LLMs in the speech recognition domain.

* Currently working on the application of LLMs to speech recognition by finetuning open source models to improve accuracy. * Other responsibilities: * trained an acoustic model using the Kaldi framework * curated specialized LLMs to perform specific tasks * data gathering, preparation, and engineering for training AI models * maintain and improve an automatic speech recognition pipeline for post-acute care applications

* Aided in data preparation and training of an improved acoustic model for use in nVoq Voice, a speech to text app for healthcare forms * Developed a web scraper, to retrieve the latest approved drugs and devices from the FDA’s website * Researched SpaCy and NLTK Python libraries and developed a PHI scrubber for sensitive health data * Led daily stand-up meetings, and worked as a team to accomplish these tasks
